We are strategically located in the heart of the country at our 2-acre site in Solihull by Birmingham Airport. This is where we operate SYC2J and process all the vehicles. We have a number of satellite branches located in other parts of the country and now offer a nationwide collection.

We currently operate numerous branches in and around the West Midlands and are planning to open many more in the coming years.
After years working in the motor trade, Jack launched Sell Your Car 2 Jack from his parents' annexe. He learnt the trade buying used cars at auction - a tough learning curve, but a great education that gave him the experience and skill set to start SYC2J.
Word quickly spread and Jack became known as the local expert, with more people travelling to his hometown of Solihull to sell their cars.
Sell Your Car 2 Jack moved into its first commercial premises - a refurbished old chicken shed. It was basic, very hot in summer and freezing in winter, but it marked a major step forward. The business gathered momentum and Jack welcomed his first full-time employee.
With Solihull thriving and demand growing in Redditch, a small unit in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre car park became SYC2J’s first satellite branch. The Redditch branch was an instant success thanks to its prominent location.
Outgrowing the chicken shed, the business moved to a used car showroom on Mason's Way, Olton. The larger site allowed more cars to be purchased and stored, and the expanding team could work together - sometimes hosting up to six car buyers at once.
Plans were in place for a third branch in Tamworth, based in a unit at Ankerside Shopping Centre. However, just as opening approached, the Covid-19 pandemic forced operations to pause. When restrictions lifted, the Tamworth branch quickly proved popular.
With three successful branches, the business outgrew its Solihull base. In June 2021, the team moved into a new purpose-built HQ at Bracey's Business Park, the former Bracey's Garden Centre. It became the perfect home for a growing team now well into double figures.
SYC2J expanded into Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Following a swift refit and rebrand, the branch opened in June 2022 and was almost instantly successful.
After months of planning, the Banbury branch opened inside Castle Quay Shopping Centre. This marked SYC2J’s first indoor shopping centre branch and introduced a digital window screen, allowing customers to enter vehicle details using cutting-edge technology.
A new-look website launched alongside a custom-built CRM developed over 24 months. The system enables more accurate valuations while helping the team manage customers and day-to-day operations more efficiently.
A new branch opened at the Wulfrun Shopping Centre in Wolverhampton. A former car park cupboard was transformed into a fully functioning office, supported by the hire of a new local car buyer.
A second Solihull branch opened at Touchwood Shopping Centre. Positioned beside the main escalators, the purpose-built office includes an appraisal area for car buyers and a comfortable space where customers can relax and enjoy a cuppa.
Continuing its steady expansion, Sell Your Car 2 Jack opened a new branch in Sutton Coldfield. The location strengthened coverage across the West Midlands and made selling a car even more convenient for local customers.
In March 2025, SYC2J established an initial base in Coventry, marking another key step in expanding across the Midlands. The location allowed the business to serve growing demand in the city and surrounding areas, strengthening its regional presence.
Later in 2025, Sell Your Car 2 Jack opened its Leicester branch, marking the second new location of the year. The launch extended the business further into the East Midlands, continuing its mission to make selling a car quick, simple and hassle-free.
Jack’s Story
Hi, I’m Jack. I founded Sell Your Car 2 Jack in 2012, but my journey in the motor trade began back in 2008 when I was 20 years old. I spent years travelling the country buying cars at auction and online. It was tough, mistakes were made and money was lost, but it gave me the foundations and real-world experience that later shaped SYC2J.
Between 2010 and 2011, I spotted a clear gap in the market. Private sellers wanted a fast, fair and straightforward way to sell their car, but too often faced low offers, delays and hassle. I believed that by offering strong prices, a quick process and a genuine 5-star local service, we could do things better. That’s how Sell Your Car 2 Jack was born.
From a single car buyer...
I started the business from my parents’ house in Solihull, learning fast – not just about buying cars, but about marketing, customer trust and building a strong local reputation. Over the next few years, the business grew across the West Midlands. In 2015, I opened our first unit and employed our first team member. Growth accelerated from there, leading to a larger site and the opening of our second branch in Redditch.

Today, Sell Your Car 2 Jack employs 20+ people across multiple locations in the West Midlands. We have in-house marketing, IT and accounts teams, a bespoke CRM system, algorithm-led pricing technology and an instant car valuation tool. We’ve also secured a two-acre site at Bracey’s Business Park, with plans in place for our future HQ.
